Wolff, had friends in Friday evening for a pan cake supper to celebrate . their birthdays. Their guests included Libby Abrams, Kathleen Ayres, Bobbette Jones, Marie Van Mart er, and Becky Duffy. The young sters played many games and the lucky winner was Kathleen as she pranced off with most of the prizes! ooo SATURDAY NIGHT the Jim Dris colls entertained with two ta bles of duplicate bridge. They used the Howell movement in scoring with each person playing 21 boards. Guests were Conley and Vi Lanham, Dr. and Rita Wolff, LaVerne and Laurel Van Marter. Miss Humphreys recently announced ner engagement and coming marriage to William ThnmaS formerly of San Francisco, whose acquaintance she made on a re cent European tour. Members outlined their favor. ite menus and wrote in detail the recipes used for dishes in the menu. Added miscellaneous art icles, including a menu file, cook books and kitchen articles, were given as token gifts. Club mem bers combined their good wishes Into one large personal gift. Refreshments were served huf. fet style from an artistically centered serving table featuring a miniature bride and groom en- circled with an arrangement of small pink rosebuds. Wolff flew to Sup erior, Wise, recently to spend four days visiting her mother, Mrs. Joseph Falardeau, who is ill. Mr. and Mrs, Bill Collins and girls were in Portland over the week-end to visit their daughter, Jean, who is a patient in Good Samaritan hospital there follow ing a car accident earlier this summer. She may be coming home in the next few days if the tests are satisfactory but will remain bedfast for six more weeks.
