Kreimeyer transferred to Port land in February, 1961, following five years as district ranger at Heppner, Oregon, on the Uma tilla National Forest. Prior to that time Kreimeyer was ranger on the Bear Sleds district of the Wallowa-Whitman National For est. A graduate of Iowa State College, he worked on the Mt. Hood National Forest before and after World War II, in which he served as a combat pilot in the Army Air Forces. Another forester will be named soon to carry on the conservation education work of the Forest Service in this region, Regional Forester stone said.
