Co-op furnishing power for this, but I sometimes wonder if v. .min-ii or neode of the city of Heppner have ever given this much thought or aciuauy uie familiar with some of the facts of this question. In the first place this school Is o min't of Morrow county, not the city of Heppner. Do the peo- . I can't believe this Is the attitude of the deal ers, merchants, and citizens or Heppner. tn first nlace the REA was set up by the federal government for the building of rural lines thruout the farming areas of the iTr,iio,t states, for the betterment of the farming areas and com munities within it. mere were no strings attached as to who could or should build these, but private power didn't, figured it fonKiiiio. so the people did it themselves, mostly under REA cooperatives. what did it do for our com munltles?
