Last week while putting out a lice, and grub control demonstra tlon at the Harold Beech ranch we found Harold to be using an outstanding herd bull on his small bunch of cows. Harold told us he had bought this polled Hereford at the Columbia Empire polled Hereford sale a couple of years ago. Barnes Hereford Ranch was the breeder. The bull Is as good as many purebred breeders use In their registered herds. Harold has had a program of continuous selection In his -..m roniarlnt? everything Plliaii I ' " f r. - with horns with polled animals without sacrificing quamy. I hurt not seen his calf crop lor several years and was well .i.., u lth thff nualitv of them which indicated he Is selecting the right kind of cows to mate with his bull. Really we got Into a lot of good on these spraying demon strations last week as the small herds of Doug Drake and Gary Tullis were of very high qual ity. The purebred herd of Frank Andersons, I am sure, Is one of the best In the whole country. t la Intnrnctlnrr tf) Wfttch the 11 .!.- progress with which our beef cat tle have been improved over the past ten years. As election day approaches there will no doubt be numerous efforts made to put over stories and propaganda eleventh hour stuff that can not be refuted before the polls open. There are always those who would do this, hoping to win votes for their fa vorite candidate or for them selves. Our advice is to give no heed to these last minute tales, rest ing assured that had there been anything to them In the first place, they would have come to light early in the campaign. Mr. and Mr. P.
