The follow- ing officers for the coming year wore elected: Gladys VanWlnkle, replaces Millie Falrdoth who had resigned because sue naa pd to Pendleton; and June Davidson, secretary, Jayne Frink. treasurer and Vesta Kilkenny, vice president. There was a film on productivity of the nation, and a very Instructive talk by the county school superinten dent, Mr Van Houte. There was also a discussion on the use of the athletic field for summer recreation. This being "men's night" the refreshments were served by the following men: E E Peck, Walter Smith, Armln Wihlon, and Orville Cutsforth. George Irvln was in charge of the program. Mr and Mrs Al Hultt of Idaho Falls, were visitors in Lexing ton on Monday. George Graves of Pendleton was a Lexington caller on Mon day at the home of his sister and family, Mr and Mrs Leonard Munkers. Mr and Mrs Dean Hunt and family were here from The Dalles Sunday where mey vis ited at the home of Mr and Mrs Elmer Hunt. Delbert Piper of Heppner is employed full time at recKs Grocery In Lex. Lee Cornelison, grandson of Mr and Mrs Joe Cornelison has arrived in San Diego, where he has entered the U S Navy. Mr and Mrs Cecil Jones and son Kenny were dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Earl Lacey in Walla Walla Sunday where they attented the "go-cart races." Steven Peck, son of Mr and Mrs Ken Peck, was a Walla Walla visitor Sunday and atten ded the "go-cart" races. The Lexlneton Christian church had the opportunity to hear, the NCC speaKer oi ine month Richard Ishmeal at the morning services. He also was a speaker at the junior hi class at Sunday school in the morn- '"Mrs Walter Smith has returned home aftpr several weeks in Eugene where she had under gone major surgery. Mr and Mrs Ken Marshall have returned home after a short trip to Central Oregon. Mr and Mrs Alonzo Hender son and daughter, Betty visited with Mr Henderson's mother in LaGrande on Sunday.
