Davis repUtvs Wm L Boyer who has been appointed plant service foreman for Salem's northern district. Buyer was i member of the Chamber of Com merce In HermUton. He plans to sell his Hermltiton home and move to Salem as soon as possl ble. In his new assignment Davis will supervise the Installation ar"' maintenance of the com paiiy's outside plant facilities and the operation of the central offices. Davis was the const ruction foreman for Pacific Telephone when long distance lines were constructed through llermlston in 1941. The town's population was multiplied nearly four times since that time. The number of telephones In the town has In creased from 484 to 2,923 In the same Interval. A member of the Elk's Lodge, a hunter and fisherman and active P-TA member In Salem, Davis and his wife, Vera, and one son, Pat, plan to move to llermlston as soon as housing arrangements can be completed. Refreshments were served from table with a centerpiece of pink carnations and blue can dles.
