The Invocation and the ben ediction was given by Rev Austin McGhee. Hostesses for the refreshments were Mrs Lincoln Nash, Mrs Har ley Young and Mrs Don Bennett Mrs Hudson furnished candied treats. Decorations were planned by Mrs Herman Green. Bongers Have Open House And Party Tuesday afternoon, Mr and Mrs Harry Bongers entertained with a Christmas party from 2 to 5 at their home for the Pioneer Memorial hospital personnel. The same evening, Mr and Mrs Bongers hosted another Christ mas party and their guests were Mr and Mrs P W Mahoney, Mr and Mrs Gar Swanson, Mr and Mrs Philip Blakney and Mr and Mrs Paul Koenig. Mrs Prock. Entertains At Christmas Party Mrs Wayne Prock entertained her bridge club Wednesday even ing with a Christmas party. Those attending were Mrs Del Jordan, Mrs Fred Gimbel, Mrs Glen Ward, Mrs Jimmy Prock, Mrs Marlon Green, Mrs Ralph Richmond, Mrs Don Bennett and Mrs Marshall Lovgren. Rev Rydgren Gives Christmas Message To Soroptimist Club The Soropitmlst Club of Hepp ner enjoyed a Christmas program at their Thursday noon meeting at the Wagon Wheel. Vic Krelmeyer was Introduced by program chairman, Miss Leta Humphreys, and he sang two numbers, "Silver Bells" and "Sweet Little Jesus Boy", accom panied at the piano by Mrs Krel meyer. Rev John Rydgren, pastor of Hope Lutheran church, gave an inspirational Christmas message. It was reported that the box of gifts, sent by the club to Fair view Home, had been received. Carolyn Carter was the Hepp- ner high school senior girl rep resentative to the meeting. There will be no meetings of the club on December 24 or on December 31. All teenagers In the Heppner, Lexington and lone area are Invited. Mrs Oliver Creswick Is general supervisor for the dance with the assistance of Judy Cochell, Sharon Kelthley, Doris Morris, and Sheryl Harris on the decor atlon committee, with Mrs James Thomson as advisor. The refreshment committee Is Lynn Thomas, Bernice Thomson, Pam Cochell and Linda Halvor sen. In charge of advertising are Daiene McDonald, Charlene Jones, Judy Brinda with Mrs Lewis Halvorsen as advisor. Their guests were Mr and Mrs Jack Everly, Mr and Mrs LeRoy Gardner, and Mr and Mrs Bill Blake. High prize for the men was won by Mr Gardner, with Mrs Gardner winning high prize for the women. Miss Roseann Ayers Tells Engagement Mr and Mrs Ray Ayers an nounce the engagement of their daughter Roseann to Gale Mc Clintock, son of Mr and Mrs Tress McClintock of Monmouth.
