All friends and relatives are invited to attend. No invitations are being sent. A reception will be held in the basement of the church fol lowing the wedding. Duplicate Club Ends Tournament Mr and Mrs Lowell Gribble entertained the Duplicate bridge club at their home Sunday even ing. Those playing were Mr and Mrs Richard Meador, Mr and Mrs Conley Lanham, Mr and Mrs Gordon Pratt, Mr and Mrs La- Verne Van Marter, Mr and Mrs C E McQuarrie, Mrs Elaine George, Mrs Richard Wells and Dr and Mrs Wallace Wolff. High winners were Richard Meador and Mrs L E Dick and second high were L E Dick and Mrs Wolff. Mr and Mrs Dick were unable to attend this meeting but as this was the end of the tourna ment, the scores of the substi tutes were figured In the total. Ninth Birthday Party Held Wednesday For Vicky Robinson Wednesday afternoon of last week Vicky Robinson celebrated her ninth birthday with a party at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs Creston Robinson. Her guests were Mary and Martha Pierce, Jerry Connors, Janev Storro, Marsha Lovgren, Jonnv Blake. Linda Heath, Ruby Tulleton, Rita Pettyjohn and Susan Collins. Games were played and birth day refreshments were enjoyed. Mrs Buschke Wins At Pinochle Friday On Friday afternoon of last week, Mrs Ben Anderson enter tained the pinochle club at her home. Her guests were Mrs Robert Lowe, Mrs Walter Becket, Mrs () E Wright, Mrs Max Buschke, Mrs Earl Evans, Mrs Henry Hap- pold and Mrs Fred Mankin. High prize was won by Mrs Buschke, with low going to Mrs Happold. The double pinochle prize was won by Mrs Happold and Mrs Becket. Mrs Jimmy Prock Has High Score At Club Mrs Wayne Prock entertained her bridge c'.ub Friday evening at her home and guests were Mrs Del Jordan, Mrs Glen Ward, Mrs Jimmy Prock, Mrs Marshall Lovgren, Mrs Bernard Marshall, Mrs Dick Feller, Mrs Marlon Green and Mrs James Mallon. Those attending were Mrs Grace Hughes, Mrs Lena Kelly, Mr and Mrs Roy Quackenbush, Mr and Mrs Delbert Piper, Mr and Mrs Homer Hughes and fam ily, Mr and Mrs s Matt Hughes and family, Mr and Mrs Ellis Pettyjohn and son, Miss Fern Graves, Mr and Mrs Creston Rob inson, Elwyn Hughes, Roy Hughes, and Mr and Mrs Pfeil and their grandson Denny. Mark Labhart Has Eighth Birthday Mark Labhart celebrated his eighth birthday with a party at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs Bill Labhart last Thursday evening. Guests were the PeeWee Base ball team, Mark Koenig, Mark Blakney, Larry Pettyjohn, Larry Bellenbrock, Larry Richmond, Terry Peck, Philip Bruce, Kevin and Kent Pratt and Brian Thomp. son. Mr and Mrs Irvin Rauch and family and Mr and Mrs Gene Majeske and family visited at the Lutheran Bible Camp near Tollgate Sunday. Ginger Majeske and Stanley - Rauch remained there for the week. Mr and Mrs Morris McCarl and family visited the Wagon Train In Pendleton on Sunday. Mr and Mrs Ray Paplneau vis ited the Wagon Train In Pendle ton Sunday. The "Tops Club met at the city hall for the regular meeting on Monday. One member Faye Munkers has reached a goal and is now a member of the "Kops" club. The meeting was presided over by the leader Millie Fair cloth. Mrs Tom Falrcloth and child ren returned home Sunday from a week's stay at Twin Lakes, Idaho. The William J VanWinkle family enjoyed a day of fishing and picnlcing at McNary Lake over Sunday. The Auxiliary of Way-Edwards V F W are sponsoring a "cheer" box for the small son of Mr and Mrs Don Munkers who is a pat ient in Dornbecker hospital In Portland. They would like gifts of picture books and story books. No color books please. They would like to have a gift for him to open as often as possible. Kenneth Lundell of Oakland, Calif who is visiting his parents in lone, was a dinner guest on Wednesday night of Mrs Cora Allyn and sons. Later Lyle Allyn and Mr Lundell visited other friends in Lexington. Mr and Mrs Fox have moved their trailer house onto the O G Breeding parking lot, and Mr Fox is employed In Lexington. High score for the evening was held by Mrs Gunderson, second high went to Mrs Labhart with Mrs Thompson winning low. Refreshments were served at the end of the evening. Soroptimists Picnic At Court House The Soroptimlst Club of Hepp ner met for lunch on the court house lawn last Thursday, and birthday cake was served in hon or of Miss Leta Humphreys, Mrs Conley Lanham and Mrs Robert Penland. Miss Humphreys and Mrs Clara Gertson gave reports on the charter night banquet that they attended last week in Red mond. Miss Humphreys present ed the presidents pin to the new president of the Redmond club. Mrs Gene Pierce and Kathy Prussing were guests at the meeting.
