On Friday afternoon of last
week, Mrs Ben Anderson enter
tained the pinochle club at her
home.
Her guests were Mrs Robert

Mrs Earl Evans, Mrs Henry Hap-
pold and Mrs Fred Mankin.
High prize was won by Mrs
Buschke, with low going to Mrs
Happold. The double pinochle
prize was won by Mrs Happold
and Mrs Becket.

High Score At Club
Mrs Wayne Prock entertained
her bridge c'.ub Friday evening
at her home and guests were

Held At Court House
A family potluck picnic was
held last Saturday evening on
the court house lawn in honor
of Mr and Mrs Harold Pfeil (for
merly Edith Hughes) of Salem.

there for the week.

The "Tops Club met at the city
hall for the regular meeting on
Monday. One member Faye
Munkers has reached a goal and
is now a member of the "Kops"
club. The meeting was presided
over by the leader Millie Fair
cloth. Mrs Tom Falrcloth and child
ren returned home Sunday from
a week's stay at Twin Lakes,
Idaho.

family enjoyed a day of fishing
and picnlcing at McNary Lake
over Sunday.
The Auxiliary of Way-Edwards
V F W are sponsoring a "cheer"
box for the small son of Mr and
Mrs Don Munkers who is a pat
ient in Dornbecker hospital In
Portland. They would like gifts
of picture books and story books.

would like to have a gift for
him to open as often as possible.
