May Farm Prices Mix Ups and Downs Oregon farm prices were a mixture of ups and downs In May but averaged 1 percent a bove May 1958, reports Mrs El vira Horrell, Oregon State Col lege extension agricultural econ omist. In contrast to the Oregon trend, national farm prices are still 4 percent below a year ago. Prices in Oregon for poultry and dairy products continued to slip. Hogs, calves, and hay prices were also lower. On the uptrend, however, were prices for potatoes, wheat, corn, beef cattle, lambs, and wool, the economist noted. lone News (From Last Week) Mr and Mrs George Holder- man and son of Corvallis were visitors here over Memorial Day.
