the County Unit Plan) Is $173,
118.61.
The amount of tax, in excess
of the 6 limitation, proposed
to be levied for the said fiscal
year (1959-60) is $445,286.18.

Mix Ups and Downs
Oregon farm prices were a
mixture of ups and downs In
May but averaged 1 percent a
bove May 1958, reports Mrs El
vira Horrell, Oregon State Col
lege extension agricultural econ
omist. In contrast to the Oregon trend,
national farm prices are still 4
percent below a year ago.
Prices in Oregon for poultry
and dairy products continued to
slip. Hogs, calves, and hay prices
were also lower. On the uptrend,
however, were prices for potatoes,
wheat, corn, beef cattle, lambs,
and wool, the economist noted.
