Huston came to Morrow f in 1883 at the age of four and Mrs Huston was born orrow county. They have their entire lives here ex for a few years spent in rid. Ving tea and coffee were, 3aud Huston, Mrs E R Hus Wrs Fay George, Mrs Leon ill, Mrs Robert Dobbs and Villiam Rawlins. Punch was 3 by Mrs Myron Rill and lisses Esther Bergstrom and Marilvn Berestrom. The guest book was In the charge of Mrs Earle Gilliam, Mrs Walter Becket and Mrs Frank E Parker. Mrs Ray Drake and Mrs Robert Dobbs assisted about the rooms. Mrs Ben Anderson, assisted by Mrs Frank E Parker had the gift table. The Rev Charles Knox, accom panied by Mrs Knox, sang two solos and Miss Sandra Jones gave two readings. Past worthy advisors of Ruth as sembly introduced were, Mrs Da mon. Helen Graham, Phyllis Quackenbush and Janice Martin. Bernice Thomson played an ac cordion solo, Echo Waltz: Dalene McDonald and Linda Halvorsen sang a duet, accompanied by Janice Martin. A doll dance addenda present ing gifts to the honored guests was given by Judy Cochell, San dra Jones, Sandra Eubanks, Shir ley Van Winkle, Marlene Griffin, Sharon Keithley, Bonnie Hannan, Cheryl Hartman and Pam Cochell. Refreshments were served later with Mrs Claude Graham at the Dunch bowl. Mrs Oliver Cres- wick was general chairman for the reception. The annual formal Christmas dance was held following the re ception. Sewing Club Holds Holiday Dinner Party At McQuarrie Home The Wednesday Sewing club entertained their husbands at a holiday dinner party Sunday evening at the home of Mr and Mrs C E McQuarrie. The rooms were decorated In the New Year's theme and each individual table was centered with a New Year's baby, and the buffet table was centered with an arrangement of candles and silver musical instruments. Those attending were, Mr and Mrs John Pfeiffer, Mr and Mrs Claude Graham, Mr and Mrs Lowell Gribble, Dr and Mrs E K Schaffitz, Mr and Mrs P W Ma honey, Mr and Mrs Raymond Ferguson, Mr and Mrs Jack Bed ford, Mr and Mrs Tom Wilson, Mr and Mrs Gene Pierce, Mr and Mrs Robert Penland and Mr and Mrs McQuarrie. Hermlston JO 7-3111 A bride of Christmas day was Miss Christina Kay Keithley, daughter of Mr and Mrs Howard Keithley; whose wedding to Orrie James Reed, son of Mr and Mrs Orrie Reed of McMinnville was solemnized at 4:00 p m in the afternoon at the Seventh Day Ad ventist church in Heppner, pastor L L Huntington of McMinnville officiated. The bride wore a waltz length gown of ivory brocade with pink accessories and a corsage of white and pink rosebuds. Miss Jo Keithley was maid 01 honor for her sister and wore a pink dress with pink accessories. Dan Reed, brother of the groom was best man and Frank Diet rich, brother-in-law of the groom, was usher. Mrs Clifford Wagner played the wedding music and accompanied Mrs Frank Dietrich who sang Because and the Wedding Pray er. The mother of the bride chose a sheath dress with blue access ories and a corsage of pink rose buds. The groom's mother wore a black suit with black access ories and she also had a corsage of pink rosebuds. At the reception which follow ed, the tea table was centered with the wedding cake and an arrangement of pink gladioli. Upon their return, Mrs Reed will continue her studies at Heppner high school where she will graduate with the class of 1959. The groom is stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and when school Is out the bride will join him at his station. lone News Mothers Club Plans Progressive Dinner ThP Mnthera Cluh met at the home of Mrs Ralph Richmond on Mnndav evenine. December 15 for their annual Christmas party. The group went caroling to the hosoital and took gifts to the patients in the nursing home. Later they went around town caroling and then back to the Richmonds where plans were made for the oroeressive dinner to be held on January 5. Hos tesspe for the dinner will be Mrs Vic Kreimeyer, Mrs Wallace Wolff, Mrs Nels Anderson ana Mrs Robert Abrams. Mr and Mrs Tom Wilson will be special guests and tell of their turopean tour. JnAnn Turner, the president of the group last year, called the meptintr to order. The purpose of the meeting was to organize and elect officers for tne ionow- Ing year. The officers are as ionows: nresident. Linda Hams; vice president, Barbara Baker; secre tary, Karen Lundeu ana news reporter, JoAnn Turner. There were seven girls who signed to take 4-H for this year. They are Linda Hams, Barbara Baker, Kar on T.iindpll. Jean Martin. Geral- dine Morgan, Brenda Townsend and JoAnn Turner. The ciud is led by Mrs Betty Carlson and Mrs Ruth McCabe. The group held a meeting Dec ember 6 at the home of JoAnn Turner. The meeting was called to order by president, Linda Hams.
