Mrs. Bob Rietmann gave a re port on the Eastern Oregon dist rict council meeting which she attended in La Grande, Sept. 8. Mrs. Don Heliker announced plans for the Hallowe'en party to be hold October 31 at the Am erican Legion hall were being completed. Donated admissions of $1.00 for adults and 25c for child ren will go to the crippled child ren's hospital in Eugene. C. Anderson, with Mrs. Bill Parsons of Lexington as co hostess. Fourteen members ana four guests were present, Mrs. Rod Murray, Mrs. Merlin Zier, Mrs. Harry Bongers and Mrs. Ralph Richmond. The program was on seasonal centerpreices for children's and teenager's parties. Four commit tees prepared separate center pieces for an October.November, and December party and one for a fall and winter party. Mrs. Little held high score for the afternoon, Mrs. Van Martox was second and Mrs. Thomson, low. 50th Anniversary Celebration Planned A 50th wedding anniversary celebration will be held Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Central Grange hall near Veneta for Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Gammell, former resi dents of Morrow county who now live at Veneta.
