Soroptimists Make Plans For Float " The Soroptimists club met Thursday noon at O'Donnell's for the regular monthly business meeting. Committee reports were given and Mrs. Floyd Adams, chair man of the float committee, told of the plans for the float for the rodeo parade. Organizational work has started on the float and all club members were asked to help in the work. Birthday cake was served in honor of Miss Leta Humphreys and Mrs. Robert Penland, whose birthdays were in July o Mr. and Mrs. Neil Shuirman of Cupitena, California visited Fri day at the Claude Graham home. Bailey were maniei August 7. 1907 in Silverton, Oregon and came to Morrow county in 1029. Sunday afternoon they renewed their wedding vovs with Rev. Lester D. Boulden reading Die the ceremony. Mrs. Bailey was originally from Wisconsin and Mr. Bailey any then Silverton before coming to Heppner to make their home, where Mr. Bailey has been a car penter and cabinet maker. Women of the Methodist church served a dinner to 68 members of the family in the basement of the church preced ing the reception. Mrs. Meador Hostess For Bridge Club Msr. Richard Meador entertain ed two tables of bridge at her home Friday evening. Playing were Mesdames Kemp Dick, Wil liam Heath, Jack Healy, Riley Munkers, Creston Robinson, Ned Sweek, Mervin Wagner and Don Bellenbrock. Prizes for north and south and east and west high scores in duplicate went to Mrs. Heath, Mrs. Healy, Mrs. Munkers and Mrs. Sweek. Ben Buschke Honored At Home Sunday With Family Reunion The children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Ben Buschke honored him Sunday with a family reunion at his home. Dinner was served on the lawn to the 45 present. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Twitchell and family and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Buschke and family, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Denny Decker and three children, Klamath Falls; Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Mike, and granddaugh ter, Roberta Montague, of Castro Valley, Calif, are visiting his Dro ther and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Matthews. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lindstrom entertained the following guests at a dinner Thursday evening oi last week: Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Lundell, Kenneth Lundell and Mrs Anna Lindstrom. Dr and Mrs. Clifford Fearl of Portland are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Holmes Gabbert. Dick Martin rushed Mrs. Wil bur Flower to Cottonwood Satur day morning as George Gienger had a light heart attack. Mrs. Flower is the nurse here. Louisa Flemings returned home Saturday evening after spending three weeks cooking at the Lov gren and Doherty ranches below Heppner. Margeurite Martin spending two weeks at Kinzua visiting at the Ivery Jewell home. All were former residents here. Mr. and Mrs. Ansil Martin of Salem came up Friday afternoon to spend the weekend visiting the Ernie Johnsons, Henry Mart ins and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Robie Roblson and family will leave Heppner about September 1 to make their home in the Willamette valley near Newberg. Mr. and Mrs. Hogden and child ren of Pendleton spent the week end visiting at the John Williams home. lone News Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ross of Salem were recent visitors at the home of their daughter and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs Joe Hausler.
