Soroptimists Make
Plans For Float
" The Soroptimists club met
Thursday noon at O'Donnell's for
the regular monthly business
meeting.
Committee reports were given
and Mrs. Floyd Adams, chair
man of the float committee, told
of the plans for the float for the
rodeo parade. Organizational
work has started on the float and
all club members were asked to
help in the work.
Birthday cake was served in
honor of Miss Leta Humphreys
and Mrs. Robert Penland, whose
birthdays were in July

Bailey were maniei August 7.
1907 in Silverton, Oregon and
came to Morrow county in 1029.
Sunday afternoon they renewed
their wedding vovs with Rev.
Lester D. Boulden reading Die

son, Harold, was best man for his
father. Mrs. Maggie Reynolds,
twin sister of Mrs. Bailey, was
bridesmaid as she was at the
cerremony 50 years ago. Gerri
Dawn Bailey, a granddaughter,
was flower girl and Bobby West,
great grandson, was ring bearer
At the reception which follow
ed Mrs. Nels Bailey served the
cake and Mrs. Maggie Reynolds
and Mrs. Lottie Shultz, sisters of
Mrs. Bailey, poured the punch.

church served a dinner to 68
members of the family in the
basement of the church preced
ing the reception.
Mrs. Meador Hostess
For Bridge Club
Msr. Richard Meador entertain
ed two tables of bridge at her
home Friday evening. Playing
were Mesdames Kemp Dick, Wil
liam Heath, Jack Healy, Riley
Munkers, Creston Robinson, Ned
Sweek, Mervin Wagner and Don
Bellenbrock. Prizes for north and
south and east and west high
scores in duplicate went to Mrs.
Heath, Mrs. Healy, Mrs. Munkers
and Mrs. Sweek.

Ivery Jewell home. All were
former residents here.

Salem came up Friday afternoon
to spend the weekend visiting
the Ernie Johnsons, Henry Mart
ins and friends.

family will leave Heppner about
September 1 to make their home
in the Willamette valley near
Newberg.
