Christmas cards were prepared for a mission In Japan as well as a box for the Mexican missions headed by Rodney Northrup, and a couple of boxes of doming ior the John Runyon mission at Top penlsh. The devotionals were alvpn hv Mrs. Hatfield. It was voted to postpone the meetings of July and August due to harvest. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Darnielle and children of Portland are spending some time at the George E. Irvln home. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Jones and children were visitors with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Brunelle of Grandview, Wash., Sunday. Candy and Deanna Hays, chil dren of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hays of Corvallis are visiting their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Warner. Don Grant of Carlton motored to Lexington Sunday after his children who have been visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Breeding. Don Casteel who has been at tending the University 0 Oregon is spending the summer with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Doherty. Mrs. Ralph Jackson of Hermls- ton was a Lexington caller one day last week. Eddie and Karen Darnielle, children of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dar nielle of The Dalles are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. New't O'Harra. Keith Grey, a former "graduate of Lexington school and resident here, has just completed special training In Virginia and is en route to Germany. Mrs. Nita Gray and daughter Mickey, are visiting in Lexington until the first of the week when they plan a trip to the eastern part of the United States. Mrs. Gray has been teaching in Ukiah. Hugo Leyva has gone to Port land where he will attend florist school for a four-week course. Hugo Leyva and Mrs. Gar Leyva returned recently from a trip to Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hunt and Mr. and Mrs. John Ledbetter are enjoying a camping and fishing trip this week. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mathews and children, Kirk and Jan, have re turned from a trip to Newport. Another son, Bobby, remained in Oregon City for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Cutsforth were Tualatin Valley visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cutsforth have been enjoying a vacation at Seaside, a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Burnham are spending a few days in Port land. Mr. and Mrs. Serge Covall re. turned last week from the coast and waypoints and left Monday for Idaho where they took the Covall children to spend the sum mer with grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. George Irvin and children were visitors last week at the Bert Darnielle home In Port land. Mr. and Mrs. O'. G. Breeding returned Sunday from Yamhill where they visited at the Grant home. The three children return ed home with them for a visit. Dewie Irvin returned to his home in Grants Pass after a short visit with his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Irvin. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Peck return ed last week from several days at Coos Bay. Mrs. Alice Majeske and children were Walla Walla visitors last Thursday. Lee Cornelison returned Sat urday from a weeks visit in Ren- with a sister and ton, Wash. family. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Breeding were weekend visitors in Lexing ton. Raymond Schoonover returned Sunday evening from a two weeks trip to Southern California. Mr. and Mrs. c. C. Jones spent the weekend in Portland where they visited a grandmother, Mrs. Sheedy, and an uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Merritt from Los Ang. eles. Several from Lexington attend ed the dance recital in Arlington Wednesday night of the Arlington dancing group. Those participat ing from Lexington were Hugo Leyva, Jeanette Ledbetter, Bar bara Bloodsworth, Jill Padberg, Dora Sue Davidson, Beverley Dav idson, Martha Doherty. The fol lowing parents also were present: Lorrence Ledbetter, Lav 0 n n e Bloodsworth, Mildred Davidson, Eileen Padberg and Jerry Doher ty. Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Cutsforth and family attended a picnic of the Wentworth family at Kenne wick Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Messen ger are the parents of a baby daughter born Monday in Pioneer Memorial hospital in Heppner. She weighed 7 pounds and has been named Kelly Diane. Rev. Norman Northrup motored to Cove Sunday where he was to help start the Bible school camp there. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Campbell have been visiting in Eugene with a son and famiiy Mr. and Mrs. Don Campbell. Miss Dona Barnett and Mrs. Tri na Parker were Pendleton visitors Monday. Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Messenger Srv and son Carroll are visiting at the home of their daughters Mr. and Mrs. Carl Marquardt and Mr. and Mrs. Bill B. Marquardt from their home in Mitchell. Mrs. Maude Pointer is visiting her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Don Pointer and friends and rela tives from her home in Corvallis. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Henderson and family motored to Maryhill Sunday and enjoyed the car races. Visitors at the Neil White home in Pilot Rock Sunday were Miss Dona Barnett and Mrs. Trina Parker, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Mun-kers. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Pomeroy have returned to their home in Kelso, Wash., after a visit with her brother, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. McMillan and at the Borman home in Heppner. Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Breeding attended the Little League base ball jamboree at Portland Satur day. Their grandson, Jay Math ews was one of the members of a team, playing in Saturday's gabe.
