Bridge and pinochle 3e played. Sherrell-Krebs Vows Read In Arlington Church Saturday In a setting of blue and silver, Donna Mae Krebs, daughter of 1 Mr. and Mrs. John W. Kfebs became the bride of Richarr Alva Sherrell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ava E. Sherrell Saturday, December 29 at a 4 p. m. double ring candle light ceremony performed in the Methodist church at Ar lington, Ore., with the pastor Rev. A. N. Boyer officiating. The Chancel of the church was deco rated with large baskets of white chrysanthemums with blue rib bon bows with 4 large candlea bras containing 7 blue candles tied with the same blue bows as the baskets. In each window was a silver juniper arrangement with a can dle in the center. For the service the bride stood under an arch of the silvered juniper with two silver bells in the center witb blue ribbon bows. The end of each pew carried out the same color scheme. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father wore a Cahill original of white imported silk satin with pleated tulle overskirt with a short train and side panes of the material trimmed with pearl al endon lace. The bodice of the dress was of the same lace with a scalloped neckline, her fingertip veil fell from a crown of the same lace. Her flowers were white bouvardia and an orchid. Her sister in law, Mrs. Richard Krebs of Cecil was her matron of honor, Mrs. Carroll Donavan of The Dalles and Miss Nancy Marston, niece of the groom were bridesmaids. The bride's niece Jerrie Krebs was flower girl and all wore identical afternoon length dresses of changeable blue taffeta and carried white fur muffs trimmed with silver juni per. They wore a band of the same fur in their hair. The small flower girl carried a silver bas ket of button mums. Monty Ev ans, the brides cousin from Hepp ner was ringbearer. Best man for the groom was his brother, Phillip Sherrell, and the ushers were the bride's bro ther, Richard Krebs of Cecil and the groom's cousin Elvin Hale of Portland. All the men of the bridal party wore pale blue din ner jackets. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Krebs wore a sheath after noon dress of blue taffeta trim med in self color alencon lace and beige accessories. Mrs. Sher rell's dress was a two piece dress of blue changable taffeta trimmed with rhinestones, both mothers wore orchid corsages.' RICHARD ALVA SHERRELL (Donna Mae Krebs) married Saturday, December 29 in a double ring ceremony at the Arlington Methodist church. (Cut courtesy Condon Globe-Times) the ceremony the "Wedding Prayer" and as the bride left the church he sang "True Love." Mrs. A. N. Boyer accompanied him and also played the wedding music. A reception was held Immedi ately followed the ceremony In the church parlors. The bride's table was covered with a white cloth in the center of which was the three tiered brides cake topped with group of silver bells and trimmed with white roses. After the bride and groom cut the first piece of cake It was then cut and served by the bride's aunt, Mrs. S. A. Becker of Long Beach, California. Pour ing were the bride's aunts, Mrs. Roy Hurst and Mrs. George Krebs, Mrs. Henry Krebs, Mrs. Dewey West, Sr., Mrs. John Stei ger of Portland and Mrs. Carey Ainscough, aunts of the groom presided over the punchbowl in which floated a block of Orange Blossoms brought by Mrs. Becker from California. For her honeymoon which Is to be spent in the Willamette Val ley Mrs. Sherrell wore a brown suit with blue accessories and a beige fur stole, for her cor sage she wore the orchid from her bouquet. After the honey moon they will make their home in Fort Ord, California where the groom is stationed with the U. S. Army. After the couple had left, a buffet dinner was held for rela tives and friends at the Kreb's home. Mrs. Arthur Fletcher and Mrs. Emil Kumm assisted the hosts in serving. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rietmann, of lone; Miss Tat Wright, Heppner; Mr. and Mrs. A. F. McClintock and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Bafus all of Cecil. o Twelve Tables in Play at Elks' Ladies Night Party Five tables of pinochle and seven tables of bridge were in play at the Elks Ladies' night party Thursday of last week. High in bridge was Mrs. James Thomson and Mrs. Lester Wyman, second. In pinochle, Mrs. Frank E. Parker had high score and Mrs. Madge Bryant, second. Mrs. Henry Happold received the door prize. Hostesses for cards were Mrs. C. C. Carmichael, Mrs. Mervin Leonard, Mrs. Kenneth Peck, Mrs. Don Hatfield and for refreshments Mrs. William Van Winkle, Mrs. E. E. Padberg, Mrs. Roy Martin, Mrs. Forrest Thornburg and Mrs. Ellwynne Peck, all of Lexington. Rebekah-IOOF Plans Joint Installation Preceding a regular meeting of Sans Soucl Rebekah lodge, Friday evening, the Past .Noble Grand club met from seven to eight o'clock. Meat pies were served to members by Mrs. Altha Kirk, president. Sans Soucl lodge discussed the installation of new officers, Miss Esther Bergstrom, noble grand and Mrs. C. J. D. Bauman, vice grand to take place January 19 and to be preceded by a turkey dinner at 6:30. This is a joint installation with Willows lodge No. 66, I. O. 0. F. and is open to the public. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Delbert Wright and Mrs, Robert Robinson. Bob Hagerman Grande were her mother, Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Alex Green and Mr. and Mrs. Hagerman spent Christmas day in Pendleton at the Joe Green home. New Year's Eve Dinner Party Held At Ferguson Home Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fergu son entertained a group of friends New Year's Eve for a potluck buffet dinner.
