COMPILING NEW LAWS Laws passed by the 1955 Legis lature are being compiled by David O'Hara, of the State Elec tions Bureau and his staff. O'Hara said he hopes to have all available laws, except those with the emergency clause, pro cessed before the first week in August. Laws which include the emergency clause become effec tive when signed by the governor and filed with the secretary of state. Allowing the attorney general five additional employees to co operate with Public Welfare Com mission officials in investigating and prosecuting persons -for non support and violation of PWC laws. Providing a method of candi dates and party officials to ob tain recounts of election results. Compel counties to pay dam ages caused by changes in high way grades.
