Bradley Fanchor, Seout Master of Tioop CI together with six Boy Sfjuis, each one representing a progressive rank in Scout work were guests in recognition of the 1-llh year of Scouting. The Boy Scouts present were Jay Sumner, Bob Mahoney, Brent Beng'son, Bob Huffman, Len Ray Schvvarz and Butch Laughlin. Kaeh boy spoke on what he had to do to earn his rank and Butch and Len Hay gave a demonstra tion ff the pressure and arm lift method of artificial resperation. The Soroptimist club paid tri bute tf) Fanchor and Glen Ward who are carrying almost the en tire load of Scout work In this community. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Ellen Rogers Wednesday after noon, were Mrs. Cecil Hicks, Mrs. Pete Haynes and Mrs. Mary Ca son. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Davis were in Kin7.ua Tuesday. Mr. Davis has accepted employment there, and he and his family will soon move to their new home. On Wednesday, they made a trip to Heppner. Business visitors in Fossil the first of the week were Bill Ram sey and George McLoughlin. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McDaniel and Stevie of Hardman. visited at the Emmett Davis ranch on Tues day. James Campbell took his father Mr. Pat Campbell to The Dalles hospital last week. Mr. Campbell is recovering and is expected to be home Tuesday of this week.! Mr. and Mis. Lester Wick at- tended the funeral .services for! Mrs. Martha Logan at Arlington on Thursday. ! Mr. and Mrs. Cuy Huddleston returned home on Friday. Mrs. Huddleston is recovering from a' recent surgery and has been at: the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Orwick, of Heppner. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas McDaniel; and Melvin of Heppner were visit- ing in Lonerock Sunday. Mrs. Ellen Rogers had her son, Clarence, his wife and sons as guests over the weekend. Mrs. Cecil Hicks, Shirley and Leroy visited with her parents.
