By Ann Good Dark winter woolens are certain ly problematical when it comes to keeping them lint-free I suppove there's no sure way to keep them splc and span, but biushin thnn with a slightly dampened uhMt broom will help. - - - Most men would cheerfully settle for French fries every night, but the rest of the family generally likes a bit of variety in potatoes. Here are spuds that are different and delicious: Cook potatoes in jackets until done. Peel. Roll In melted vitaminized margarine, then In grated cheese. Broil until nicely toasted. If it's an off-season for salad greens, occasionally serve a relish tray of celery stulted with a mix ture of blue cheese and real may onnaise. Also radish roses, carrot sticks, ripe and green olives, seal lions or white onion rings. , To remove all of ground meat from the food chopper, finish off with a small quantity of stale bread. Crumbs will carry the re--mainlng meat through and at the same time add a bit of volume. Use a mild bleach from time to time to keep your white nylons snowy fresh. And remember to launder only the white things to gether for nylon has an affinity for other colors. Not enough individual salad molds to accommodate your guest list? Use tea cups instead, filling half full. A. Scullen, agriculturist at Ore gon State college. In comparison tests of alsike, red and crimson clover seed pro duction with and without bees for pollination, it was found that the production of a paying seed crop is Impossible without the bees. The number of seeds produced from 100 heads of alsike clover under the cage which kept the bees out was 130 in one test and 10 in a second. The number of seeds from 100 heads where bees were present was 12,621, Dr. Scul len reported. Results were about the same in similar tests with the red and crimson clover. Less than 10 seeds came from 100 heads of red clover under the cage and more than 5600 from 100 heads in the open field where bees were work ing. Crimson clover seed counts were around 1400 without and more than 7001 with the bees. 150 GRADED RANGE BULLS Herefords and Shorthorns Pens and Singles Ontario, February 14 Grading on the 13th Sponsored by Of -vtmSr f if hiqow Prinevllle, Oregon CLIFFORD M.
