Page 3 Ralph Skoubo Named Head of Boardman Grange By Flossie Coats At the regular Greenfield Grange meeting Saturday evening November 15th the following of ficers were elected to serve the following year: Master, Ralph Skoubo; Overseer, Cecil Hamilton; Lecturer, Mrs. Wm. Forthman; Steward, Mrs. Chas. Forthman; Assistant Steward, Nathan Thorpe; Chaplain, Mrs. Claud Coats; Treasurer, Mrs. Hugh Brown; Secretary, Mrs. Frank Marlow ; Gatekeeper, Elvin Ely; Cerease, Mrs. John Walker; Po mona, Mrs. Clyde Tannehill; Flora, Mrs. Max Vannov:- I.ariv Mrs. Glenn Carpenter, treasurer. Mr. and Mrs. Max Vannoy and Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Allen were initiated into the first and second degrees. Visitors from the Irrigon Grange were Mr. and Mrs. Melton Biigel, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cun ningham and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Berger. The Irrigon and Greenfield Granges will hold a joint public' installation at the Irrigon Grange hall Thursday to eight men who were working evening. Monument Club Plans Dance By Millie Wilson Olive Cox was hostess for the M. M. M. club at her home last Thursday... Those present beside the hostess were Helen Brown, Lydia Capon, Clara Strecker, Clar ice Campbell, Fayr Sweek, Wave Jackson, Martha Malteson, Lois Hill and Millie Wilson. Final ar rangements for the clubs annual Thanksgiving dance were discus sed. After the business meeting the hostess entertained with games. Clara Strecker, Fryr Sweek, Lydia Capon and Wave Jackson were prize winners. Re freshments were served. The next meeting will be held December 4 at the home of Wave Jackson Lvdia Canon will have the Christmas party this year. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Sweek have their grandson, Mike Sweek of Heppner visiting them this week. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Boyer and Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Cork re turned from Portland on Thurs day. Stanley Cox took his father Percy Cox to the veteran's hospital in Walla Walla last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Trenton Morrow of Long Creek were dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bowman on Tuesday. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Clar ence Warren of Spray were sorry to hear they had lost their home by fire on November 20th. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Reade base their baby in Dorenbecker hospital in Portland. So far the cause of his illness has not been learned. Mrs. Lola Shank, who has been confined lo her bed for the j a s t month is now slowly re gaining her health. Wave Jackson received word on Thursday that her daughter Thelina Maley of Condon had been taken back to the hospital in The Dalles for further treat ments. Mrs. Alta Wright of John Day is spending some time with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Round.
