The regular Home extension meeting was in the Grange hall Monday afternoon. The afternoon topic was "Window Treatment". Many ladies were present for this meeting. Meeting for making' the Com munity Church drapes has been postponed until Monday, Novem ber 2fith. Mrs. Effie -Miller is a house guest at the homes of her sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Miller. Mrs. Oscar Johnson and Mrs. Stacey Stone, Hood River, were house guests last week at the Emmett Rogers home. Mrs. John son and Mrs. Rogers are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Traner, Hermis ton were Sunday dinner guests at the Leroy Harwood home. The two ladies are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Anderegg and daughter Barbara returned home Saturday after several days spent in Salem visiting Mrs. An deregg's son Bill Gorrivson who is in the hospital recovering from a serious accident. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Messen ger and son Garry, also their daughter Mrs. Billie Mardquardt and daughter Noreta were guests Sunday afternoon at the E. T. Messenger home. The Kiewit Sons Construction Company, who had the contract for surfacing the new State high way irom Heppner junction through Boardman has com pleted the job and have moved to Wallula and Pasco. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Rogers motored to LaGrande Saturday where they attended the funeral of Mr. Rogers cousin, Mrs. Lois Leitch. Mr. Rogers parents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rogers, Hermiston, ac companied them to LaGrande. Albert and Duane Rogers, young sons of the Rogers remained with Mrs. Algy Taylor for the day. Mr. and Mrs. Nate Macomber, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Root were Sun day dinner guests at the Albert Macomber home In Arlington. Dale Macomber who is in the Air Corp and stationsd in California is home for the Thanksgiving holidays. A pink and blue shower was held Sunday afternoon in the church basement, Mrs. Eugene Harwood being guest of honor. Committee in charge were Mrs. Cecelia Macken, Emma Delano, Mrs. Frank Cole and Etta Jones.
