The 4-H home economics ex hibits and events were held Aug ust 30 and 31 with 4-H demon strations held Thursday morning and the cake baking and bread making contests that afternoon. These contests were special fea tures of this vear's fair. Friday featured the judging of ail exhibits Including 4-H and open class. The style review also took place on Friday. The Pet teys have recently moved from Pendleton to College Place. Mrs. Ralph Skoubo motored to Pendleton Tuesday to visit her father-in-law I. Skoubo who is very ill in the St. Anthony's hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wilbur moved this week end from the Ray Conyers house to the Atte berry apartment. Mr. and Mrs. Oral Conyers, son of Ray Con yers have moved into the Con yer's house. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Briggs spent the week end in Spokane, taking home Mrs. Brigg's daughter, Mrs. Jack Campbell and children who had spent the week here. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Turner have returned to Boardman and are now in the new house Just built this summer by the school district. Turner is the high school coach. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Dillon and children were Labor Day guests' of Dillon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Dillon. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mallery and sons Gerry and Jlmmle returned to their home in Seattle Monday after a week at the home of Mrs. Mallery's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Coats, also taking in the North Morrow County Fair. Mrs. Kate Hathaway is spend ing a few days of her vacation in Boardman. Mrs. Hathaway is a nurse in the Pioneer Hospital, Heppner. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kunze and son of Detroit, Oregon, spent Mon day with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kunze.
