Barratt to fill the unexpired term of C. W. McNamer, deceased. The Court orders the following Bangs' Disease claims paid: Carl W. Troedson, $8.00; Fred Pettyjohn $4.00; Elsie M. Beach, $4.00; Wight man Bros. $28.00 and Lawrence Palmer $44.00. The Court orders dance hall li cence issued to Rhea Creek Grange. The Court orders the transfer of $499.66 from the Alcohol Control Fund to the General Fund. The Court orders the transfer of $6,321.82 from the Motor License Fund to the Bond Interest Fund. Rice and granddaugh ter, Eleanor Rice, returned the past week from Missouri where they spent a month in and near Kan sas City visiting sister.;, brothers and many old friends of Mrs. Rice's. They were fortunate in experienc ing no unpleasant weather until th last couple of days when it be came extremely hot. VISITING DAUGHTER Mrs. Olive D. Bassett of Long Beach, Calif., is visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Hughes. Mrs. Bassett had been vis iting another daughter in Portland and accompanied Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Barlow from that point Monday. - CHURCH GROUP HOLDS The Willing Workers of the Church of Christ held an all-day meeting Wednesday, devoting the forenoon to a business session and the afternoon to a missionary meeting. A luncheon with a cake honor ing those whose birthdays come in July was enjoyed at noon. These are busy times especially so for the one who has to plan and pre pare the meals for the family for she too is do her share of war work. It will be a boost to her's and the family's morale to eat out occasionally to enjoy one of our STEAK DINNERS, or an oyster supper, or any one of the wide variety of excellent meals to be found on our bill of fare. Don't use a large bag or sheet of wrapping paper when a small one will do Fill bags already furnish- , ed customers for additional purchases. 3 Avoid wrapping truck delivery which can be carried safely with out wrapping. When wrapping is needed, use salvage material if possible. 4 Wrap only for protection, not appearance. Don't use a bag within a bag. 5 Ask customers to bring own paper bags in which to package their purchases and shopping bags in which to carry them. 6 Reuse customers' containers in making exchanges and adjustments. 7 Reuse all usable boxes and wrapping materials received from sup plies. 8 Don't over tape or over seal packages. 9 Avoid the use of gift wrapping paper and tissue stuffing in gift packages except when required for protection. 10 Don't blame the, clerks for trying to save on paper.
