8 Heppner Gazette KNEE BADLY CUT It required several stitches to close cuts made on the knee of Lynne Benge, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs- Terrell Benge, when she fell on a piece of old stovepipe collar. The accident happened today. ON BUYING TRIP Miss Leta Humphreys returned Sunday from Portland where she spent a week buying stock for the local store. VISITING IN PORTLAND Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Runnion and Mrs. Nora Meglemre left Sunday for Portland to spend the week- GO TO CITY Mrs. Lois Massey, Mrs- Vernon Prock and Mrs. Farris Prock are spending a few days in Portland. IN TOWN WEDNESDAY Delbert Emert, successful farmer of the lone section, was transacting business in Heppner Wednesday. Him elwright spent the greater part of his life in Wallowa county where he engaged in ranching and mer chandising and prior to joining the AAA served as deputy sheriff.
