KNEE BADLY CUT
It required several stitches to
close cuts made on the knee of
Lynne Benge, little daughter of
Mr. and Mrs- Terrell Benge, when
she fell on a piece of old stovepipe
collar. The accident happened today.
ON BUYING TRIP
Miss Leta Humphreys returned
Sunday from Portland where she
spent a week buying stock for the
local store.

day and Wednesday in Heppner
checking over allotment payments
made through the local office. Him
elwright spent the greater part of
his life in Wallowa county where
he engaged in ranching and mer
chandising and prior to joining the
AAA served as deputy sheriff.
