some practical trade that
will make self-support
possible at sixteen.
Practical help is the best expression
of friendship. The aid we may give out of our
abundance to those less fortunately situated
than we should be of great value in bringing
about the application of the Golden Rule to the
settlement of misunderstandings among nations
as well as among individuals.
I hope the voluntary observance of this
day may become increasingly prevalent in America
and throughout the World.
