Theoifort Roosewlt NEARER HOME One sweetly schema thought Comes to me o'er and o'er I am nearer home to day Than I have been before; Nearer my Father's house. Where many mansions be Nearer the great white throne, Nearer the crystal sea; Nearer the bound of life, Where we lay oar burdensdown: Nearer leaving tne cross, Nearer gaining the crown! But lying darkly between. Winding down through the night. Is the silent unknown stream, That leads at last to the light Closer and closer my steps Cjme to the dread abysm; Closer death, t) my lips Presses the awful rhrysm. Oh, if my mortal feet Have almost gained the btink; If it be I am nearer home Even to day than I think; Father perfect my trust; Let my spirit feel in death, That her feet are firmly set On the rock of a living faith! Inasmuch as the one purchasing a policy from this company does not have the protection of thi de partment, or of any of the laws of Oregon, it is appropriate that the citizens shou'dbe informed regard , ing this class of insurance. There are two primary causes for mail order insurance: First, to rscaye the payment of taxes; and second, to avoid the restrictions placed upon licenced companies for the protection of policy old ers Should a claim against one of these policies be contested, the policy holder would be forced to go to the courts of Kansas for re course, as the courts of Oregon would be closed to him. In purchasing insurance of any kind it Js advisable to patronise only those companies thrt are li censed to do business in this state, as these companies are under the supervision of the insurance de partment and are amenable to all of the laws of the state of Orcfjm Wll OJCoore INSURANCE COMMISSIONER THANK YOU SIR Time Have Changed "Did you erer hate your wlf look you In the eye when you cam horoa, ami ask you It you had not forgotten fumiethlugr asked the young hua- htind.
