Stray Dogs His Victims An emmineni. New York Bur gron, a professor in the Flower Hospital Mer'ical School, has been summoned into a magis trate'a court to defend himself against a chare of cruelty to animals, it bo ng alleged that these abuses wore perpetrated in the course o ' experiments in vivisection. Investigators from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, detailed to observe the methods practiced, forcibly rescueJ cix of the one hundred dogs wl ich it is admit ted have been impounded for purposes of experimentation. It is insisted, in extenuation of the alleged offense, that the animals subjected to the experi ments are unlicensed dogs, or strays, which are homeless and without protection. The Manufacturer.
