Cecil News Items Ed Cline, wife and son Floyd, left last Saturday for Tillamook, where they will visit friends. Mr. Lawrence and wife of Port land, are here to visit Mrs. Krebs at The Last Camp, for awhila. Mrs. T. 11. Lowe and daughter Miss Annie, called on Mrs. Geo. Miller at Ilighview, on Monday. Krebs Bros, finished Bhearinit Wednesday and Jack Hynd will finish in a day or two. Mrs. Losjan and 6on Gene, of The Willows, accompanied by W. Wise and wife of Caliiornia, who are spending the summer months in Oi eon, were callers on friends here last Friday. Wid Palmateer and family of Windy nook, also Charlie Gray and family of Morgan, spent Sunday in the Rock creek district fishing. We don't know what they were lishinir for, but it certainly wasn't lish. Not even the scale of a fish could be seen when the travelers returned home. Heavy frosts have hit Cecil. Great damage has been done to peaches, apricots, prune, etc. Morgan Life While taking care of his team, Franklin Ely was kicked by a mule, but not much hurt. Mrs. Harbison has returned to Morgan, but her sister -in-law is yet quite ill at Corvallis. E. 15. Gorton has the lumbago. Oh, my! Bert Palmateer hauled 200 sacks of fine early baart wheat to the warehouse last Wednesday. For years untold, Hal Ely has made it a point to take the first loud of the new crop to market and Bert came very near being held up on the road. Nearly all of the early sown fall wheat is in the "boot" and rain will be in great demand he fore long. If rainmaker Hatfield would only settle down here and keep the moisture supply just where we want it ail the time, he need seek no further for an in dependent fortune.
