Bert Palmateer hauled 200 sacks
of fine early baart wheat to the
warehouse last Wednesday. For
years untold, Hal Ely has made
it a point to take the first loud of
the new crop to market and Bert
came very near being held up on
the road.
Nearly all of the early sown
fall wheat is in the "boot" and
rain will be in great demand he
fore long. If rainmaker Hatfield
would only settle down here and
keep the moisture supply just
where we want it ail the time, he
need seek no further for an in
dependent fortune.
