Four farmer boys without any agricultural scbool training will make a trip to Europe, the reward which goes with the winning of the International Stock Judging championship in south and southeastern competition here. This non-college team came from far off Texas, winning over teams from all parts of the country including college-trained men. The Texas team finished with 3110 points against 2965 by the Mississippi team which was second. The Texas team were all members of Boys' Club and were coached by Cy W Evans and W B. Fifteen hundred new members were added to the life-saving service of the lied Cross last year. Thirty-rive "states have adopted a uniform method of nursing in connec tion with the Red Cross. i Last year the Red Cross aided more than 30,000 victims of unavoidable dis aster in 150 communities. Intensive influenza instruction has been general throughout the North western Division during the last yea. Since demobilization the Red Cross has kept In constant touch with famil ies of 800,000 soldiers, sailors and ma-1 rlnes. The management cost at National Headquarters and at the fourteen Di visions is less than four percent of the total expenditures. The Hed Cross has identified and photographed the graves of more than ."i.Oi'O American soldiers, and has sent r.s.ono of these records to relatives and friends. In less than twenty minutes after the September explosion In Wall Street over seventy-five Red Cross nurses and thirty-five field directors were assist ing the stricken. Last year the United States spent $10.00 per capita protecting and de veloping the health of the nation.
