Ore.- In gathering Its ma terial for highway improvement work during the coming summer the coun ty court today awarded a contract to 0, W. Sanborn ft Sons to furnish 23. 500 barrels of cement at $3.16 a bar rel net, delivered in Astoria. This is 40 cents a barrel more than the county paid in 1919. The court also awarded a contract to the Cal ender Navigation company to furn ish 6100 cubic yards of sand at $3 a yard. The county has appropriated $496,000 for purchasing road-build ing machinery- am' the improvement of roads during 1920. llend Traffic Increase. Upnrl Ore.
