The Toledo Leader says: Our people turned out well and were res ponsive to the reader's every mood. Mrs. Berwick has a pleasing person ality and before the conclusion of her first number, .every person In the opera house was her friend. Mrs. Berwick has one of the best enter tainments we have ever heard. As a child impersonator especially, she is almost perfect. Everything she ren ders is clean, elevating and instruc tive. . Former Seattle Mayor AVrites. In a letter from Geo. L. Cottertll, former mayor of Seattle, he says: "Your audiences will always be a- bundantly amused and interested, but, by the use of such selections as you favored us with last week (when It was my pleasure to introduce you to that vast Seattle audience) they will also be stirred to the depths of human sympathy and raised to the heights of the noblest ideals." The press notices and words of commendation taken from scores of kindly criticisms of Mrs. Berwick's work as a reader, Impels us to say that the people of Heppner, who take advantage of this opportunity of hearing her in a full evening of read ings, have a real treat ahead. Those who heard Mrs. Berwick Friday evening, are enthusiastic In commendation of her work as a reader and impersonator. Broad in human sympathy, she is keen in in terpretation, in which she shows an originality which is an absolute es sential to the successful Impersona tor. She demonstrated likewise the versatility which made her alike ef fective In such antipodal selections as "Pas Initiation" and "The Soul of the Violin." The program pre sented a pleasing variety which held the close attention of the audience for a little over two hours. New berg Graphic, Newberg, Ore. , The ability of Mrs. Berwick as a dramatic entertainer and child im personator Is unequaled by any, and I .take great pleasure in recommend ing her.
