NotHon. the teachers' institute for this county will be held, Sept. 17, 18, 19, These dates are not cnnvmlent in nianv respects, but in order to have the assistance of the State Superin tendent and the epeoial instructor in the Palmer Method of writing and also to save something on tho trvel ina expenses of other instructors, it was necessr.y to accept the dates, Some of the schools w ill not be in session at that lime, but all teachers should attend the institute in order to entitle them to the crdit and give the district the proper claim for the ap portionment for the attendance of the teacher. If a fchool has not opened it is right for the district to make the allowance tor the time of attandance of the teacher just tha same. There will be a strong corps of Instructors and we hope to make the Institute very profitable; The work in writ ing, in accordance with the new system, will be well worth the time of every teacher. Let me rrjake a final appeal to the pupils of the school to do something toward an exhibit at the fair. Look through the premium list and see what you have which will be eligible for entry It may be that you have something good whioh is-not listed. If so. brine it any way. That will give the fair board a chance to make a more complete premium list next veor and will also help to make the fair success.
