The Madras Pioneer recently closed a newsnaner subscription salesmanship campaign similar to the one now being con. ducted by the Heppner Herald with such success f.iat it is said every family in Jefferson countz are now readers of the Pioneer and the en lightenment thus brought about, so it is claimed by the womea of that own, accouats for the entry of tne women into politics and their hearty endorsement by the men folks.
