Blill it Is not sur prising when we take luto aooount the fact I hat' they sell the best quality of goods for twenty-five tiriOO per cent, less llinii they can be bought at any other place In town. The eloquent ci sh dawn all around is what talks. Vou don not have to pay for other folks goods. When In need of anything lu I heir line, don't fall to call aud get prices, they will save you money. The Ex'.'Rkhs would like to see some of our ministers or elders in some of the churches have courage enough to have some of the fast young boys and men of Lebanon prossecuted for misbe havior In church. It Is a shame on a civilized community the way some people aet while In ohureh In this city, eapeeially nt the Cumlioi'land Presby terian. We know that these individu als have linen asked several times to be. have and It Is now time to use other persuasion. It would not only be a benefit to the church that would push the matter but all would feel the bene fit of it, and it would be a blessing to the community. Last Saturday evening the boys of this place hud a great deal of sport out of two drunken men who came out of the foot-hills. It seems that these Iwj individuals had not been to town for a long time aud after attending to their business, proceeded to gin -up, which thev did lu good shape nnd made two firstclass fools out of themselves. They started out of the city on a dead run, but one of them fell off bis horse Into the mud before he got oQ of Main street, but the boys helped him on again and they wnet on their way. Tlie marshal happened not to be around while tins was going on or the, city would probably have been about S20 richer. Some one dug their way under Mr. Ames smokehouse In which was stored quite a lot of meat, the other night but failed to get any meat. When they came upon the Inside they struck some boards and supposing the house was floored gave up the attempt. No pains were spaired by their hosts to to make it a su"ccss. Among the en tertaining features of the evening were gives of various kinds, music and a bounteous supper, which was by no means the least. Those present did not expect to attend a teast but bad that been their expectation, they would, by no means have been disap pointed. After supper the games were resumed, and the put ty ended at one wee hours, with a lively game of "Old Dau Tucker." The guests departed on their homeward way too lighthearted to sink very deep into the mud which is sure to be encountered on a country road of Oregon. Those present wore: Misses Eva Wallace, Hazel Smith, Ida Smith, ffle Denney, Mae Terbune, Viva Baltimore, Mary Wilson, Kate Barrett, Emma Skelly, Adilia Hardy and Hettis lieudrlcksou. Messrs. Should be Stopped. -Some parents of this city surely don't know that their boys congregate round the depot In the evening when the train comes In, and some go so far as to try and ump ou the cars when in motion, again they climb up ou top of the freight boxes and act as brakemeu when the trainmen are do ing the switching. And as It gets durk about the time the train acts In, they can not always be seen. We have seen boys running aoruss the track In front of the train, when, If they had fallen would surely have been killed. Parents should always know where their boys are, (specially at train time. If there ' note stop put to ilieni oou gregivtlng at the depot and Jumping on the treius, either by parents or the city i'buhuII, w predliit tttnt we will hare an oblltturjc in v nyi up noon' of those m t" Feed oats for sale.
