Royal Baking Powder. THE GOVERNMENT TESTS ESTABLISH ITS ABSOLUTE SUPERIORITY. , Data from the latest Official U. S. Government Report on Baking Powders, Department of Agriculture, Bulletin ij, page sw) Royal is placed first - of the cream of tartar powders, actual strength, i6o.6"ttbic inches of leavening gas per ounce of powder. . Every other powder tested exhibited a much; lower strength than the Royal, the average being 33 per cent. less. 1 -, Every other powder likewise showed the presence of alum or sulphuric acid.
