CVSD is seeking a non-profit community agency to carry out a continuum of culturally specific services for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors in Washington County within the Asian, South Asian, Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander communities. The suitable non-profit must be able to offer culturally specific services that: 1. Provides safety for and assists victims of domes- tic violence and sexual assault, promotes effective intervention and reduces the incidence of domestic violence and sexual assault; 2. Advocates for victims and for domestic and sexual assault services; and 3. Promotes and facilitates interagency and inter- departmental cooperation among county and city based government agencies, law enforcement, criminal justice system, non-profits and among different levels of government in this state in the delivery and funding of services This grant opportunity will be funded by two sources: Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and the Oregon Domestic and Sexual Violence Services (ODSVS). View “The Moving Wall,” a half-sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The replica features the memorial’s black, reflective surface with the names of more than 58,000 servicemen and women who died or are missing in Vietnam. Viewing is open to the public and available 24 hours a day. Materials are provided so visitors can make rubbings of names etched on the wall. The four-day event also includes an opening ceremony, the readings of casualty lists, an “Honoring Military Service and Sacrifice” parade, a recognition ceremony, and musical presentations.
