Those who aro circultaing the subscription lists for the Burnt River road are meeting with every encour agement from tho business men of Sumpter Already between 9300 and $400 has been subsreibed, and it is estimated that notj over half of the business men have been seen It will take probably about 81,500 to complete the road, but tho promoters say if they succeed iu raising 9800 hero with tho assistance which tho Burnt River people will furnish, they will bo enabled to push the road through this season without Buy difficulty The Burnt River people are ex ceedingly anxious for the road and will corao forward liberally to aid tho project. It is not probable that they will give any largo amount of money, but tboy oner its equivalent iu work, and are willing to stand thoir sharo in this way.
