St Patrick's Day Sandwiches To two tablespoons finely chopped mint add two tablespoons chopped par sley and two tablespoons finely chop ped rhii ves. Mix with a mayonnaise to which haa been added half a salt spoon of paprika. Spread upon thin slices of fine grained white bread. Marahmallow Sandwiches Take thin round crackers and spread with cream cheeae. Place a marsh mallow on top and dot with a bit of butter. Place In a hot oven just long enough for the marahmallow to puff up. then smre at once. The oven must be piping hot of the marahmallows will flatten and be tough. Ripe Olive Sandwiches Stone half a cup of ripe olives. Add one sweet green pepper seeded and chopped fine. Chop together un til very fine, then combine with cream these which haa been mixed to a paste with French dressing. Spread at one. Fruit W hip I cup canned fruit 1 egg white 1-2 cup powdered sugar. Drain the fruit and cut in small pieces before measuring. Put into a bowl with the sugar and the un beaten f?s white. Fold in 1 cup of flour that haa been mixed and sifted with 1 teaspoon of baking pow ' drr and 1-4 teaspoon of salt. Last of all. fold in 3 stiffly beaten egg white Bike 45 minutes to 1 hour in a alow oven. Thia makes a most delicious deasert if it I split through the center and " whipped cream apread between the layers. Sprinkle the top lightly with ! powdered augar. I Among those who have been suffer ' ing with rt, the last few daya are, I Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harrison, George , Harrison, the Wm. Pate family and Mis King. It seem to be in s very severe form. Dr. Kent of Brownsville attending the Harrison family said the flu in this family was in a very severe form. D. F. Newland formerly of this sec tion ia visiting friends and relative in this vicinity this week, being laid Dp for repairs with a sore hand. J. Cecil Harrison the poultryman ia building a modern incubator house on his poultry ranch. A number of farmer in this section are taking advantage of the fine weather and are planting early gard ens.
