Howe recently returned from an extended outing by taking an auto trip to various places of Interest. Mr. Howe roports the roads in many places very bad on ac count of construction work. Prof. Horner Visits Prof. J. B. Horner of the O. A. C. faculty waa in the city today in the j interest jf excavating some of the mounds of the Calapooia basin. Mr. Horner Vates that there are from SO to 50 mounds between Albany and Brownsville which no doubt nave many relics that would give addition al light on the misty past jn this val ley in prehistoric times. J'rof. Hor ner hopes to interest some organiza tion which is doing research work to investigate a large number .of the mounds.
