mounds of the Calapooia basin. Mr.
Horner Vates that there are from SO
to 50 mounds between Albany and
Brownsville which no doubt nave
many relics that would give addition
al light on the misty past jn this val
ley in prehistoric times. J'rof. Hor
ner hopes to interest some organiza
tion which is doing research work to
investigate a large number .of the
mounds. '
