It is almost impossible to see a stopping place, with the blood of nations at boiling heat. More and more people realize tl:at it is an awtul carnage. a useless waste or" men. Nowhere in the Bible are nations told to murder on the contrary, the Bi ble says, 'Thou shalt not kill,' but I know how the feeling is growing among soldier and I tear the war's bad effect on religion. "Sometimes I think the war is a necessary evil. The world seems to learn by experience. "That is the maddest thought today. Why has England the largest navy? Why ha Germany the largest army!'
