Corvallis beat this had, but had to come to Linn county to' do it, getting a 28 inch trout out of the Crahlree. Caught a Salmon Harry Powell, (.Eugene man, yes terday caught a 27 1-2 pound salmon in the Willamette, with a trouupin ncr, taking 53 miniates to land the fish. It was 44 inches long. Just why Oregon City people allowed it to pass the falls hat not been learned. Funeral The funeral of H. A. At Berkeley, Calif., Monday after noon at 4 o'clock, Dr. Harry P. Mer rill, of Orange, Calif., and Miss Min nie C. Johnson, of East Hampton, Conn., were united in marriage by Rev. D. G. Pitt. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Merrill, of this city, and a native of Albany, a young man of splendid character, who is making a success of his profession, 'and the bride is highly spoken of. Annual Fine The annual edition of the Oregona, the University of Oregon junior year book, has reached this city, and is a piece of work of which the students may well be proud. A glace through the pages is enough to make any old student homesick for the days at "Dear old Oregon" once again. There is an especially fine print in colors of the old mill race, the classic pleas ure place of all University students.
