About three hundred people were pretent. who all thought the Knigtitt of I'ythiat were mighty fine hottt and who all withed for another "open houte" meeting again in the near future. In compliment to Mitt Eunice l.u pcr, a hride-clect, Mrt. Clarence Scott and Mrt. Enoch Jenkt entertained teveral friendt on Wednesday at the home of Mitt Florence Jenkt in Tan gent. Cen tered on a table in the library wat a hatket filled with flowcrt, (rom which were ttretched ribbons to different parti of the room. Harry Meant Crooks. Little Milt Jo- tephine Ralston received the guests at the door. The rooms were artisti cally decorated with quantities of French marigolds and ferni. Taylor on Ninth and Sherm?n streets. Tuetday. November thirtieth is the date let for the bazaar in the First Presbyterian church Many dainty and iiteful articles will be on sale at tnat time. A very pleasant tocial event oc curred on Sunday, November leven. at the farm home of Mr. and Mrt. Charles A. Ekttrand, about two and one-half milet above Albany, near the Corvallis road, when that worthy couple, formerly and for seven years resident! of Portland but for three yean past resident! of this locality. celebrated the tenth anniversary of their marriage by having a tin wedding with due ceremonial!. The pleasant bungalow of Mr. and Mrs. Ekstrand a home residence resembling more a modern city building than a farm abode, surrounded by well kept, and flowered grounds, eteirantly furnished throughout, was very artistically' and appropriately decorated for the oc casion. Mrs. Ekstrand wore her wed ding dress of ten years ago and stand ing by her stalwart and genial hus band appeared young and winsome as a new bride. An elaborate dinner was served, the tables being loaded with the best of farm and market products, prepared hy Mrs. Ekstrand in a man ner to do credit to a first class chef. Many appropriate gifts soon loaded the sideboard, of suitable character. consisting chiefly of fine aluminum wares. Ceremonials and dining com pleted, the company spent a pleasant afternoon and evening with toasts. character sketches, vocal and instru mental music, congratulations, speech making and the like, and all in all there was had a most enjoyble time, to be long, and favorably remembered by all present. F. M. French. A. L. Ryder. C. E. Clifford. Bray, Smith. Nutting, Palmer, Bodine. Blain and Gesclbracht. Dainty refreshments closed a very enjoyable evening. Complimenting Miss Margaret Setwart, a bride-to-be. Miss Myrtle Worley entertained the young ladies of the Twilight club on Wednesday ata "miscellaneous shower." Supper was served "cafeteria style" and the latter part of the evening was prssed in sewing for the bride elect.
