So with this little introduc tory sermon we turn and ask: "What is August Flower tor ?" As eesily answered as asked : It is for Dys pepsia. It is a special remedy for the Stomach and Liver. Nothing more than this ; but this brimfti!. We believe August Flower cures Dyspepsia. We know it will. We have reasons for knowing it. Twenty years ago it started in a small country town. To-day it has an honored place in every city and country store, possesses one of the largest manu facturing plants in the country and sells every where. Why is this? The reason is sis simple as a child's thought. It is honest, does one thing, and does it right along it cures Dyspepsia. SS G. G. GKEEX, Sole Man'fr.Woodbury.X.J. It not only makes tbe tea a bright, shiny, n:tract!Te green, but alio Term Its the use of " ofT-colnr " and worthless teas, which, ouce tinder the green clonk, are readily worked off ai a good quality of tea. Theabom limb'.e coloring practice even admits of the use of fureigu substances, and the English Covcriimenf, which looks closer into the gen ulncnets of its staples than ours, has in some of tho alleped " nnett " of teas found redried leaves, straw, fragments of mntting, rice husks, aud willow leaves. In fact, It is openly UttU-d by an English authority that hundreds of tiiojiaiulii of pounds of fcluc, ash, a::d wil low leaver a:o annually Imported as tea, which without the coloring process would be inioisible. They report tea us oueof the most notorious)- adulterated articlesof commerce. The temptation to make awcepings aud bad tea Into a merchantable product with a few ccuts' worth of green coloring n-.atter is too strong to withstand, and the worthlcssncss of tho trash that often finds its way to this mar ket labeled f'isew Crop," "Heat Quality," "Green Tea," etc., would fcimj ly a&tound tbe public if revealed, to say nothing cf theun bealthfuluess cf the Prussian blue, plum bnxo, gypenin, and tho other mineral colore that are employed. Black Toq3. The basket and pan-flrcd Japan teas, as well as the China tea that niny be Included under the general heading of " black tea," got their color from the drug or toasting process, but mineral coloring matter Is also frequently used to give a certain desired commercial appearance. The firing and the coloring, as in the green teas, largely conceals the iden tity of the tea, and permits tho use of tho very cheapest teas, to arguo nothlnglfor the deteriorating effect of excessive flrlng.Jwhlch most be resorted to when a very cheap prod uct Is used and an extreme color desired. Beech a Tea (Sun-dried), Concerning sun-dried teas tho peop!eof the Pacific Coast have heard but little and know less, although it la axtensirely used whore It Is known and understood. We are told that when tea la ao poor it cannot be sold at home or safely ahlpped to the English markets, It Is shipped to America; that we will drink any thing. That may possibly be one of the rea sons we hare not been offered sun-dried teas. They were good enough to send elsewhere. Tbe sun-dried teas being sun-cured, no oolortng matter Is sed, hence nothing bnt pare tea leaves eaa be employed; for unas sisted by manipulation or coloring, all at tempts at adulteration or the Introduetieu of foreign Hare or material would be bold and glaring. That It Is, therefore, sweeter and fa more fragrant than the artificially colored green teas and the tnanlpalated basket or pan-flred teas, yon hardly need be told. That it la more healthful than tho mineral -colored teas, la also apparent That It is more ezpon ire, Is alio true; and that Is another reason yon have never seen it There Is not so much profit la It as there la la tbe cheap adulter a ed and adored teas. About the Coat of Teas. Aeeoidlng to tbe ensrora-house reports, the amount ef tea received at Baa Vranclsco last year waa s.Me.lff pennes, and tbe value 9M,3to, et a fraction ever ice per poand. The eosaramer, ef which the reader was one, paid fer that I3e tea all the way from Oo to II per pound, la ether words, for that 9356,190 worth of tea theeeDsnmer pelt between fomr and five milliena at cellars, there are your eaormona pre fits, and there yon will probabry find the ehlef reason way met of yon never heard of aian-aded.ee. Aatberan-drledteas have ae mask, they are compelled to be ebso lat pore and ef better ejaallty than the arVflelally eelered and manipulated teas. Benee the margiru en them are smaller, and many dealers don't care eboat handling them, tad yoa knew arahlng about them. But It Is rhe ebjeet of this artlele to tell yon where yon ean get then, and what to ask for, aud all about them. "Beech's Tea." Beech's Tea," raarantced to be the pure san -eared leave, Is now offered to the people of tbe Ptelflc Coast. It wHl be a revelation to yon. Ton doubtless never saw any nat ural loaf. Have your grocer break open a package. It will be found In ooler to be just between the artificially colored green and the blaek teas, and the drawn tea presenta a elear. brilliant canary color, of delightful frag-ranee. It la offered to tho people at 60o per pound, the same price that many artifi cially colored teas are sold for. But its guar anteed purity makes it ace economical to use; for a less quantity, say about twenty grains, ;is required per cup. As there are 7,680 grains to a pound, there will be seen to be between three and four hundred cups to the poand, or at the rate of abont one fifth of a cent per cup. Its economy Is therefore manifest It Is put up in one-pound packages only, In patent alr-Ugbt and moisture-proof parchment, with the trade-mark that Is found at the bottom of this article plainly printed on the package. It la sold In this form for two reasons; one Is, that the original strength and aroma Is preserved; and second, there can be no deception, which would be quite possible If It were sold In bulk, without the name and trade-mark attached Caution. Recollect that the margin of profit Is ao much smaller on Beech's pure sun-dried teas than on the artificially colored teas that yoa won't get It if tea by any other name can be put off on yoa. Ask for BEEim TEA 'Pure-AsWdhood: If Tour grocer docs not havs It, he will et It for yoa. Prlp. ecc per pound. Tha abort trade mark and prlca Is plainly printed on each package. Perhaps the best way to ret It ! lo no where you know they bars It and are willing to sell It. For Imtauce, It can he had without Alffl cultr at ALLEN BROS- -K. U. A.
