BKOIY.NKVIl l K. April 27th, 1S9I Kewi items are scarce ami we arc busy. J 0 lMlyeu is convalescing at this writ iug. O P Cosliow, of your citv.was here one dav last week, lie said lie caino to tell us'that there would he a bridiro at Al bany, lmt we suspect ho was after soiuc- tuniK ossiaes ornit s. Three new houses are jroin;r up in the Oalhraith addition at this writing, and Jos Hansard is grading Ins lot on .Main street preparatory to building a house thereon. Miss Josie Ross is quite sick, also Mrs Bumy Howe. John Franizen made n Hying trip to the county seat today. There has been considerable rain of late. Grain and grass look w ell, and we have a good prospect for a large fruit crop. We should lwgin the culture of fruit in this part of our moral vineyard, as this part of the country is well adapted to the business and would prove a paying investment in a few years. An orchard five years old would yield a goodly .amount, and vegetables can be raised be tween the rows while one is cultivating his tiees, thus getting pay for all labor expended in such cultivation.
