In extreme cases, where a gargle could not be used, dry sulphur was blown down the throat through a quill, and sulphur burned in a shovel so that the patient conld inhale it. An effort is to be made in Iowa to strip the law of its nonsense. Lawyers declare that deeds warrants, and all other legal papers can be cut down one-half in the amount of where ases and wherefores.
