OREGON Time of Drivers’ Licenses Extended :_________ IL____ JJ--' Oregon drivers licenses, issued on or after June 15. 1941, need not be renewed this year. Secretary of State Robert 8. Farrell said today. The 1945 legislature assembly extended the time of these licenses to June 3". 1941. The numbers of all licenses thus 1 extended bear the prefix “5R", Far- i rell said. ‘Many drivers apparently believe they are required I to renew their ' driver’s licenses this year, but the, act of the 1945 legislature extends the time these licenses are valid through the nxet two years," Farrell I said. The secretary of state explained it is not necessary that a new license card be obtained, showing the new expiration date. Farrell emphasized, however, that drivers are not required by law to obtain a new qird to show a change of address, a change in per sonal description, or to show the new expiration date.
